Liquid Cover Up Foundation and Concealer in 1 – Shades for Everyone

Liquid foundation is the most popular foundation product on the market, based upon which you’ll build your entire makeup look. Foundation is a cosmetic that’s applied to the whole face (and sometimes the neck, décolletage, and body) to provide an even finish to the skin. Each product is different, and it’s important to understand those differences so you can find the best match for you. As a result this product will not only make you look good, but they can also offer some serious anti-aging benefits as well.

The benefits of liquid makeup:

The onboard moisturizers in liquid foundation help hydrate dry skin.

If you have a unique skin tone, you’re more likely to find a match with a liquid product than with a powder foundation.

It’s easier to apply and blend a liquid product into the skin than it is to apply a powder foundation, especially for a beginner.

Liquid foundation is very effective at producing a luminous finish.

It also does a good job of filling and concealing fine lines and enlarged pores, temporarily at least.

The use of cosmetics to enhance complexion reaches back into antiquity. To make their skin appear more “fair,” the Grecians and Romans painted their faces with a poisonous chalk, also known as white lead. Wealthy Romans favoured white lead paste, which could lead to disfigurements and death. Men also wore makeup to lighten their skin tone; using white lead powder, chalk, and creams. The cream was made from animal fat, starch, and tin oxide. The fat was rendered from animal carcasses and heated to remove the color. The animal fat provided a smooth texture, while the tin oxide provided color to the cream.

Modern foundation can trace its roots to Carl Baudin of the Leipziger Stadt theatre in Germany. He is the inventor of greasepaint. He wanted to conceal the joint between his wig and forehead, so he developed a flesh-coloured paste made of zinc white, ochre, and vermillion in lard. This formulation was so popular with other actors that Baudin began producing it commercially, and, as such, gave birth to the first theatrical makeup.

You can apply liquid foundation with your fingers, sponge or brush. Try Flat Angled Foundation Brush for flawless blending with just one swipe!

1.Cleanse and moisturize your face. Makeup should always be applied to a clean canvas. Wash your face using your normal cleanser and pat dry. If you have dry skin, apply a moisturizer and wait a few minutes before applying foundation to give the moisturizer a chance to work.

2. Dip your fingertips into the foundation, and begin to dab it onto your face. Apply liquid cover up foundation and concealer in a V shape and around any trouble areas. A little goes a long way with liquid foundation, and you can always add more to areas that need additional coverage.

3. Use your fingertips to blend the foundation into your skin. Or you can always try Vasanti’s “flat angled foundation brush” for seamless blending with a single swipe or in a stippling motion. Use either a patting/tapping motion with just the pads of your fingers, or make small, light circles with your fingertips. Begin with the areas that tend to have the most uneven skin tone (nose, cheeks, and forehead for most people) and work out from there.

4. Blend the edges.

5. Set your foundation. Wait 2-3 minutes for foundation to dry. If it is still noticeably moist, blot your face gently with a tissue. Apply other makeup, and then set your foundation with a translucent finishing powder. Apply the powder gently with a puff, and your makeup will last all day!

One of the most common questions is how to match your shade. if you have already tried every trick on the internet undertones, neck swatches and nothing works the best way that is to, well, simply put it all over your face like you would in real life, then look at it under different lighting. Natural light from the sun is the most accurate and unforgiving, so if it looks good outside, you’ve most likely found your match.

Tips and tricks:

*After applying foundation, spray a skin-soothing mist onto the large, flat side of a damp sponge and press it into your skin all over to diffuse the look of ‘makeup’ and give you a very natural, hydrated complexion.

*Mix foundation with a few drops of a shimmering gel highlighter to create an allover, yet still natural-looking, glow.

*To avoid creasing, put foundation on smooth, unlined areas first, like your cheeks. Blend from there, skipping crow’s-feet and smile lines.
